Glutaric Anhydride is used in the production of Glutaric Acid. It is also an intermediate in the production of pharmaceuticals, pesticides and is used in the manufacture of flavorings. Glutaric Anhydride is also used in corrosion inhibitors, surfactants and metal finishing compound. Glutaric anhydride has been used in the production of polymers and epoxy polyesters and Glutaric Anhydride is used in an application to improve the electrode – electrolyte interface in high-voltage Lithium-ion batteries as an electrolyte additive.
