Appearance:

• Senna is a small shrub of about 1 – 91 cm in height.
• Senna leaves are paripinnate and leaflets are present in 7 – 8 pairs, glabrous and yellowish-green in color.
• Flowers are yellow in color.
• Pods are greenish-brown to dark brown in color.

For powder we offer a mesh size of 40 – 50 mesh.

Properties:

Pods are constipating, laxative and tonic.

Medicinal Uses:

          1.      Pods are useful in constipation and worm eradication.

          2.      It is useful in indigestion and loss of appetite.

          3.      It is useful for burns, wounds and skin diseases.

          4.      It is useful in jaundice and hepatomegaly.
