Bentonite
Natural USP/NF (Food Grade)
Description: Bentonite Natural USP/NF is a high purity water-washed, natural sodium bentonite, selectively mined, registered with OMRI for use in natural and organic products. Bentonite Natural USP/NF is used as a suspending agent, viscosifier, binder and emulsion stabilizer for Cosmetics, Pharmaceuticals and Person Care products. Suitable for use in all organic and natural products. This mineral is specially processed to control both purity and performance.
Bentonite Natural USP/NF meets all requirements set forth by the current USP / NF monograph for Bentonite. This product is used to thicken the aqueous phase of gels or emulsion products.

Bentonite, NF/BC
Pharmaceutical Grade
Description: Pharmaceutical Grade Bentonite is used extensively in pharmaceutical, personal care products and cosmetics. This grade of Bentonite is typically water washed to remove impurities and lower the grit content.
Pharmaceutical Use: This high purity Bentonite meets the standards of the National Formulary and is used in pharmaceutical preparations such as acne lotions, medicinal skin creams, ointments, skin creams, salves, tablet binding, powder preparations and many other pharmaceutical formulations.
Cosmetic Use: This Bentonite is used in cosmetic preparations as pigment binders and suspending agents. It is also used as thickeners in lotions, creams, liquid facial cleansers, anti-dandruff shampoos, body powders, deodorant sprays, deodorant sticks and many other cosmetic preparations.

Sodium Bentonite
Food Grade
Purity: Hydrous aluminum silicate comprised principally of the clay mineral Montmorillonite. Our Food Grade Sodium Bentonite meets all requirements of the Food Chemical Codex.
Description: Fine grade sodium bentonite with an average particle size between 20 and 70 mesh.
Use: This product is used in the “fining” step of processing wine, juice, cider and vinegar for the removal of suspended solids. This product is particularly useful in preventing cloudiness and removing heat-sensitive proteins.
