Zirconium Foil
99 - ≥ 99.98% pure
Applications:
Zirconium Foils (Zr) are used to make high temperature superconductive materials. Zirconium Foils are used to make electrodes components, foils, flanges bolts, tubes and rods for special applications.
Zirconium foil also has wide applications in the medical equipment industries, such as zirconium implants.

Hafnium and Zirconium have almost identical chemical properties and therefore separation of the two elements is both difficult and expensive. Typical levels of Hafnium in Zirconium foil range from < 0.2% up to 0.5%. For most uses of Zirconium as foils this is not an issue except when zirconium is used in nuclear reactions. Hafnium must be removed from zirconium for nuclear applications because hafnium has a neutron absorption cross-section 600 times greater than zirconium.
The Export of Zirconium and its foils > 0.1 mm will require a valid US Export License.
