Yttria Stabilized Zirconia Single Crystals
YSZ
YSZ (Yttria-stabilized zirconia) single crystal substrate is one of the first materials used in the production of high-temperature superconducting films. With a high hardness and good chemical resistance, Yttria stabilized Zirconium Oxide has been applied in various fields, such as ceramics, refractories, electronics, optics, and in the space and aeronautics industries. The common used Zirconia needs to be doped with Yttrium as a stabilizer. And the usual concentration of it is 8 - 13 mol%. YSZ has good mechanical stability and chemical stability with a lower cost than other materials.
