Applications:            Scandium is one of the most potent alloying elements found on the Periodic Table. It is a silvery - white metal which turns into a yellow or pink tint as it is exposed to air. Scandium Metal is a quite soft element but it is a chemically stable and lustrous metal.

When added to other Aluminum alloys Scandium can greatly increase the strength and reduce the grain size of that alloy. Scandium / Aluminum Alloys have been widely used in the aerospace industry.
