Yttrium Aluminum Garnet Single Crystal
(Undoped – Y3Al5O12, YAG)
Undoped, Yttrium Aluminum Garnet (YAG) Single Crystal is an excellent material for UV-IR optical windows, used particularly for high temperature and high energy density applications.
The mechanical and chemical stability is comparable to Sapphire (Al2O3) crystal, but Undoped, Yttrium Aluminum Garnet is unique with non-birefringence and available with higher optical homogeneity and surface quality.
Neodymium-doped Yttrium Aluminum Garnet (Nd:YAG) laser crystal is one of the most popular solid-state laser materials of today. Yttrium Aluminum Garnets doped with Erbium and Ytterbium ions have been used for solid-state and diode-pumped lasers.
