Applications: Tantalum Pentachloride (TaCl5) is used as a chlorinating agent for organic compounds and as a starting material in tantalum chemistry. It hydrolyzes to form Tantalum (V) Oxychloride (TaClO3) and eventually Tantalum pentachloride (Ta2O5).
