Molybdenum (IV) Sulfide Powder
(Molybdenum Disulfide Powder)
MoS2, 97% - 99.9% pure
Applications:
Molybdenum (IV) sulfide is used as a catalyst in the electrolysis of water. It is employed as a co-catalyst for desulfurization in petro chemistry especially hydride sulfurization. MoS2 is also used as a component of photo electrochemical and microelectronics applications.
Molybdenum (IV) sulfide is useful as a filament material in many electrical applications. It finds application as a lubricant in aircraft engines. Polymers consisting of molybdenum (IV) sulfide such as nylon, Teflon and Vespel® show improved strength and reduced friction. Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2) Sputtering Target can be used in semiconductor, chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and in physical vapor deposition (PVD) display and optical applications.
Molybdenum Disulfide is electrically conductive and finds many uses in microelectronics including bio-sensing, photodetectors, and supporting switchable transistors.
